BERTA LUGINA

Berta Lugina has been a technical specialist/patent agent for more than 30 years, experienced in all aspects of patent prosecution, including appellate work, with emphasis on high-technology areas, such as physics, EE, telecom and mechanical engineering. She has an M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Polytechnical University in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia and ten plus years of experience in several fields of electrical engineering. She was the head of the Patent Department at Radio-Physical Research Institute and the Principal IP Specialist at the Institute of Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, both in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. She was in-house patent counsel at a company commercializing medical imaging devices based on OCT technology and worked at a law firm in Cleveland, OH. Berta has an M.S. degree in intellectual property from Russian Institute of Intellectual Property. She is bilingual in English and Russian.
